Is your skin feeling parched by hot weather? The ground is awfully dry in some spots, as gardeners have probably noticed. Could your hands use some extra care? You are in luck. We are offering a sale on our People’s Pharmacy Urea Skin Relief in our most popular 6 oz size. To acknowledge Labor Day, you can get a 15% discount on this potent skin care product. Use the code Labor15 when you check out to get your discount. But don’t wait. Here is the link to our store. This discount will disappear after this weekend, on September 5, 2025.
Why Urea?
Washing your hands frequently can dry the skin. To prevent that, you need a good strong moisturizer. Urea may sound scary or mysterious, but it is neither. This natural compound can improve skin hydration and make the skin less likely to tear (Health Science Reports, March 19, 2024). Physicians have found it helpful in treating a wide range of common skin conditions, from eczema to psoriasis, but especially dry skin (Annals of Medicine and Surgery, Jan. 9, 2025).
That is why we were excited to have Chuck Friedman formulate skin relief cream containing 20% urea. We have been using it ourselves for several years now, and we are pleased that we can offer it to you. We think you will love it.
Scientists are even experimenting with topical urea to treat seborrheic keratoses (Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, Feb. 1, 2025). These are sometimes referred to jokingly as “barnacles.” Some people accumulate large numbers of these raised non-cancerous growths. They may be the same color as the rest of the skin, or they may be darker. Dermatologists can remove them surgically, but many readers would like a less expensive and invasive remedy. While the spots in this small study responded well, they did not disappear. We are hoping for further research, and we are trying Urea Skin Relief on our own barnacles. So far, we have not eliminated any, but they are not growing larger either.

How to Order Urea Skin Relief:
To be able to try this magnificent moisturizer, go to www.PeoplesPharmacy.com and look for the store. It is the right-most tab in the top nav bar. Under the store, you will find Body Care in the pull-down menu. And if you click on that, you will find the 6-ounce Urea Skin Relief. That’s enough to last you a while, even if you slather it on your legs and arms as well as your hands. Be sure to enter the discount code Labor15 when you check out. This sale lasts through September 5, 2025.
Don’t Overlook the Deodorant:
We are very proud of our magnesium-rich roll-on deodorant products. They too are on sale to celebrate Labor Day.
In contrast to aluminum, which is considered neurotoxic, magnesium is an absolutely essential mineral. Your body can function perfectly well without any aluminum. Without magnesium you would be in serious trouble! Symptoms of “hypomagnesemia” include abnormal heart rhythms, muscle cramps, seizures, mental confusion, numbness or tingling in extremities, weakness, breathing difficulties and vertigo. If allowed to continue, low magnesium levels can lead to sudden cardiac arrest and death.
We feel pretty comfortable putting milk of magnesia on our skin. And we have found that it helps us smell better (maybe because of its effect on skin microbes). We called our original products MoM (for Milk of Magnesia, aka magnesium hydroxide). Because young people have never heard of “milk of magnesia” and the name confuses them, we are gradually switching over to the name Magnesium Rich for our unscented Aluminum-free roll-on Deodorant:

There are also scented deodorant products: floral (“Women’s”) and herbal (“Men’s”). They too are on sale, but only until September 5. Remember, the code for the discount is Labor15. It goes in the discount code box during checkout.
