Transcendental Meditation Good for the Heart

Many people thought transcendental meditation was a passing fad of the hippie generation. But research into this mode of stress reduction has demonstrated ongoing health benefits. A nine-year study sponsored by the National Institutes of Health has revealed that TM can reduce the rate of heart attack, stroke and death from cardiovascular causes. Perhaps that’s because it lowers blood pressure.
