Testosterone to Boost Muscle May Harm Heart

There has been a lot of interest in testosterone replacement for older men who complain of muscle weakness and reduced mobility. Anti-aging claims have even made for this male hormone. A new study in The New England Journal of Medicine demonstrates greater muscle strength and mobility for testosterone users, but at a price. The men taking testosterone were four times more likely to suffer a cardiovascular complication than those on placebo.
