Limiting carbohydrates in the diet may be beneficial for survivors of breast cancer, especially those with receptors for insulin-like growth factor. These receptors, called IGF-1, are associated with breast cancer recurrence.

In the People’s Pharmacy perspective, reducing refined carbohydrates is probably good for everyone, especially anyone concerned about cancer recurrence.
