When hard times hit the family, parents may brace themselves, but how do they help their children cope? In the past several years, more and more children have been prescribed psychiatric drugs like Paxil, Prozac, or even Abilify. While these drugs may sometimes be helpful, parents of young children are understandably reluctant to medicate their children for long. What are the alternatives? We also discuss natural methods for helping children with attention problems (ADD and ADHD).
